The Péter Eötvös Foundation won support for another three years to continue its international mentoring program.
The leading professors of the program are Péter Eötvös (composer, conductor) and Gergely Vajda (composer, conductor).
In 2018, Alessandro Solbiati, Kathinka Pasveer, Johannes Schöllhorn, Cathy Milliken and Camilla Hoitenga dealt with young conductors and composers, in 2019 Heinz Holliger, Kaija Saariaho and Hanspeter Kyburz also worked with mentored young talents in master classes. In 2020, Fabian Panisello, Olga Neuwirth and George Benjamin will teach the courses.
The foundation and the Budapest Music Center are planning a master class for 2021 with the participation of György Kurtág, and Bruno Mantovani and George Aperghis have already accepted the invitation. Participation in the program is supported by the Art Mentor Foundation Lucerne. The mentored students can study and introduce themselves in three master classes per year in Budapest and one in Europe, as well as in individual consultations with music managers, band directors, festival directors, communication specialists, as well as visiting large concert halls and opera houses.
