What good times those were! I was seventeen years old, and Gagarin took off. The world had no outer limits. In 1961, excited by the Big Bang theory, I wrote a piano piece with the title “Kosmos”. It was a glance into the infinity surrounding us. 32 years later, a retrospect, looking inwards, into the personal psyche of those days. A fragment from the orchestral work “Psychokosmos”, adapted for three instruments, has the brief title PSY.

“Wie schön war die Zeit damals! Ich war 17 Jahre alt, und Gagarin flog hinaus: die Welt war unbegrenzt nach außen. Von der Big-bang-Theorie begeistert schrieb ich 1961 ein Klavierstück, das den Titel “Kosmos” trug. Es war ein Blick in die Unendlichkeit um uns herum. 32 Jahre später ein Rückblick: ein Blick in das Innere, in den eigenen Psycho-Kosmos von damals.
Ein Fragment aus Psychokosmos auf drei Instrumenten gesetzt trägt den kurzen Titel: PSY.

“Comme l´époque était belle! J´avais dix-sept ans et Gagarine s´était envolé vers l´infini: le monde n´avait aucune limite extérieure. Fasciné par la théorie du Big Bang, j´avais écrit, en 1961, un morceau pour piano dont le titre átait “Kosmos”. C´était un regard porté sur l´infini qui nous entoure. Trente-deux ans plus tard un autre regard, tourné vers l´intérieur, dans le propre Psycho-Kosmos d´autrefois. Un morceau de la pièce pour orchestre “Psychokosmos”, pour trois instrumentiste porte ce bref titre: PSY.
