Peter Eötvös: Senza sangue 

As a pair of Bartók's opera Bluebeard's Castle, this is a one-act opera called Senza sangue. In the story, a woman meets a man who killed her family in front of her eyes as a child. The purpose of confrontation is not to seek revenge, but to seek salvation.
